A roof over your head is a critical need of the elderly who are destitute, ill and
abandoned by family and those uprooted by disasters. World Culture and
Environment Protection Commission has set up model recreational centres
for senior citizens and aged persons in places like Delhi. World Culture and
Environment Protection Commission supports 285 aged citizens of India. World Culture and Environment Protection Commission aims to overcome the
popular mindset that views old age with a sense of pity for their helplessness.
Replacing it with an attitude of confidence, fostering respect for them and
encouraging patience in them. And of course bringing a bit of fun into their
lives. The support of Rs. 7500/- is very helpful in meeting the need of food (Rs.
3500), accommodation (Rs. 2000), and healthcare (Rs. 1000) on a monthly
basis for a senior citizen.
